Watkins Southside Swimming has been running the swimming program at Wesley College for 15 years. We will be running Summer Vacation Swimming classes in accordance with the Royal Lifesaving Society/VACSWIM award structure..

2. Lessons in lieu of the Monday 26th January public holiday for the Block 2 morning & afternoon sessions will be held on Saturday 24th January 2009. Times for the Saturday session will be forwarded with lesson confirmation. |

3. For families of children in Stages 7-17 (Block 2 morning) there will be Stages 1-6 classes available in the morning session for other siblings. |

4. There are limited positions for the Bronze Medallion Course. |
We offer:
- Stages 1 through to 17 ie Beginners to Bronze Cross (Minimum
age - 4 years)
- Small class sizes to cater for individual needs
- Maximum 5 per class - Stages 1-5
30 minute classes (morning

- Maximum 8 per class - Stages 6-15
45 minute classes
- Maximum 12 per class - Stage 16 & 17 60
minute classes
- Heated Pool with excellent facilities
- Bronze Medallion/Resuscitation Requalification
- Fully qualified staff
- Extra lanes for public swimmers
- No entry fee for spectators

NB: Bronze Medallion/Bronze Cross (Stages 16 & 17) have time specifications and require hour lessons.
COST (For 2 week block-10 Lessons)
NB: Participants will receive an entry pass with their lesson confirmation which they will have to present to the front desk every lesson. Wesley students will need to present their Sports Club ID to gain entry to the pool.

Upon completion of criteria there is an added cost imposed by the Royal Life Saving Society for Certificates/ Badges / Medallions relevant to each stage. Specific costs for each stage will be distributed during lesson time. |

A Bronze Medallion Participant Pack can be purchased for $46.30. This includes the Swimming and Lifesaving Manual (text book), Learner Guide Notes and Bronze Medallion award fee. |

3.Stages 16 & 17 |
Text books are optional but highly recommended for Stages 16 & 17 if not purchasing the Bronze Medallion Participant Pack –$31.50 |
NB: There will be no refunds for missed lessons. Should illness, injury or hospitalisation occur a refund will be arranged. Cancellations within 1 week of commencement of lessons will incur a $20 booking fee.

| Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and Resuscitation should be updated every year to maintain accreditation. People wishing to requalify for these awards can do so on Wednesday 28th January and Thursday 29th January 2009. Please contact Lee Watkins for more details and costs for the above. |
Confirmation of class times will be forwarded by mail or e-mail after Friday 12th December 2008. (Please contact us if your confirmation has not arrived by December 19th 2008). Applications received after this date will be processed but can only be placed in classes where there are vacancies.
